RA CIRCLE: HOW NOT TO DO TEAMWORK
I am seeing a LOT of one or two students telling teammates how to do the problem and move on. I want to make sure each person is doing the problem then sharing their strategies and not moving on UNTIL EVERYONE HAS CONSENSUS AND CAN EXPLAIN HOW THEY DID THE PROBLEM.
TEAM TEST ON FRIDAY
We will take a TEAM TEST on Friday!
Getting correct answers is only half of the grade. (5 Points)
Here is what Ms. Rickard will be looking for during the TEAM TEST:
Reporter-Recording: making sure everyone has their eBook open quickly, has a pencil, and math notebook out quickly. (1 Point)
Focus Keeper: the team is starting the first problem quickly and not wasting time. (1 Points)
Checker: that everyone understands the problem and knows what it is asking. (1 Points)
Gate Keeper: making sure that everyone shares their answer and the team finds consensus on a TEAM ANSWER. Everyone in the team should be able to EXPLAIN how the team got its TEAM ANSWER. (2 Points)
This test will be worth 10 points.
